The Ducks selected center Peter Holland of Caledon, Ontario with their first selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (15th overall). The 6-2, 185-pound Holland played last season with Guelph of the Ontario Hockey League, where he was second on the team with 67 points (28 goals, 39 assists) in 68 games. The 18-year-old also led the team with four goals in four postseason games.
