Woo hoo 2nd shoot out win in a row!! LOL. Giguere shut out both trys the Sharks had in the shootout... Getzlaf and McDonald both got shootout goals and Schneider missed. 2 points puts us in 1st place in the Pacific Division.. which right now isn't much to brag about.. but it's still a good thing to see! :) We're back where we belong for now! HOORAY!!
Teemu was at the game. He looked happy.

Oh yeah! The curse, the curse has been broken. We are shootout gurus now. Okay, maybe not. But two in a row is a nice streak. It still was a pretty dry/boring game though. Did you see Wes Walz of the MN Wild just stopped playing at the end of October and got a indefinate leave of absence -- they think he's contemplating retirement, but he hasn't given any indication what's wrong (except it's not famiy or health related). The Wild boards are like "I hope he's not pulling a Scotty on us!" It looks like Walz will retire after playing a good 15 games of the season. He contemplated retirement earlier but the Wild signed him to a one year deal...I guess he's having second thoughts. I kind of prefer our situation more -- where Scotty doesn't start right away (and then get cold feet), I am really starting to believe he'll be back.
Hahaha shootout gurus! Haven't heard about that MN thing, but yes that makes our situation look better.
